A team of ethnologists formed by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts’ (SASA) Board for Hilandar sojourned in the Hilandar Monastery for the first time in the fall of 1973 when they started collecting the items for the ethnological collection. The last year of their ethnological research organized by the SASA Board for Hilandar was 1982. The text focuses on the return after the first journey to Hilandar as well as on the subsequent sojourns and the difficulties the researchers faced during their work on the preservation of the discovered items.
